Flavors Around the World: A Look Inside Our Global Cooking Series

At Nini’s Cooking Academy, we believe food is a gateway to exploring the world. That’s why our “Cooking Around the World” series is one of the highlights of our camp. Through hands-on culinary adventures, we introduce our young chefs to new cultures, traditions, and flavors—all without leaving the kitchen.

Last season, our campers rolled sushi in Japan, learned the art of folding gyoza, and made ramen from scratch. We danced to salsa rhythms while preparing tacos de pescado and guacamole in our Mexico day. Our Jamaican day was filled with the warm, fragrant aromas of curry, thyme, and allspice—showing kids how spices bring food to life.

Each recipe comes with a side of culture: we share stories about where the dish comes from, how it’s eaten, and why it matters. Kids learn geography, history, and language while developing a global palate. And the best part? They get to taste the world!

Parents often tell us their kids come home excited to talk about the countries they “visited”—and even ask to recreate the meals for dinner. At Nini’s, we’re serving more than food—we’re serving a taste of global citizenship.
